Chang Family

Like I said, it was a busy weekend. The last gig for the weekend was a very generous Chang family. They cooked shabu-shabu hot pot with freshly baked cheese-cake and had invited me to be part of their family for the few hours I was there.

I can say that my most favorite time to shoot is when I do family portraits. I get to see them in their most comfortable moment with their family laughing and just having a good honest fun. And who am I, the person that gets to capture that. I got a front seat seating. NOSE-BLEEDS BABY! They chose a nearby location in Saratoga called, Villa Montavo. Very famous and expensive for weddings and high-end parties. Amy {the Mommy}| shared a story about the mansion, that it was donated by one of California's Senator. Hmmmm I wish I can do that...haha! Anyways I guess for now, I can just drool and look at the Chang family's photos and dream that I can rest my head in a location like that. Well it did cross my mind going into the bathroom and place my head on the sink for like a few minutes. That might be the closest I can get to it.

Contessa and Paul's Engagment

Man, this goes to show you how I'm still very unfamiliar of the Bay Area. Contessa and Paul who currently lives in New York both originally from the East Bay both came to visit for Thanksgiving weekend and had asked me to cover their Engagement photos. Well, Paul took us to several spots in Berkeley and made me feel like a total tourist for not knowing these two spots. I knew this city is awesomely cool, but did not know it was even cooler. The upper hillsides of the city with so many different views of the Bay.

I had a great time because they're another couple that makes shooting fun. They were very relaxed and up for anything. Paul even surprised me by hoping on a tree branch about 10-15 feet off the ground and got Contessa to join him. Great couple and very adventurous. I cannot wait to do their wedding in May.

Lil' Isaiah

What a busy weekend, doing 3 gigs. I'm blaming the holidays where everyone is available.

Isaiah is a fun little dude. Smart and already trained to answer who's our new president. Isaiah, who's the President? Isaiah, "Obama!" Along with a cute turn of the hip and a cute smile. I had a great time shooting him at the top of the hill and just look at him, his GQ poses haha!

Machintosh Family

I was again invited to shoot another family portrait for their holiday card. I was a nice drive going East to Mountain House. I really love how it's so distinct from the rest of the Bay Area. Away from the city and with so much more unique locations to shoot. The photos here does not reveal what I'm talking about. But what is here is a beautiful looking young family.
